      Hi =Sientist_Fatima=

      Good question.

      The causes for sleep walking are currently unknown. But it is classified as a sleep disorder. One thing that we do know is that while we sleep, the area of our body responsible for movement becomes inactive, this is to keep ourselves and others safe while we sleep. But when someone has the disorder of sleep walking, this part of the brain is active while they sleep and therefore they walk. The reason why it becomes active is not yet clear.
