• Question: Why are there so many planets and how were they made?

      There are lots of planets because the universe is so big. In fact there is a lot of everything in the universe!

      Planets form from the dust that collects around stars due to the gravity that the create. As more and most dust collects, it clumps up (due to gravity again), and eventually forms planets .
