      Using a programming language!

      The company who made your computer designed it to be able to understand a specific list of instructions. A programming language lets us tell the computer to carry out these instructions in the order and combination we want.

      There are different programming languages because different people designed them to do different things in different ways! Some are easier to use than others.

      In my job I often use a programming language called Python.
