Question: Do you feel that games such as D&D have any transferable skills to adult life?

Definitely! They are full of problem solving, mental arithmetic, and time management. They develop our social skills, organisational abilities, and imagination. They require a strong sense of narrative, and understanding of the dramatic and scene setting. They encourage us to find new ways of getting around problems, and reward us for curiosity. All in, they are something more people should try. I know that they would be pleasantly surprised.
