In my job I have to keep track of hundreds of different samples of food and drink, and keep detailed notes on each. I analyse them to find out what they are made of and to make sure that they have been made correctly. I also check to make sure that they are genuine. If they are counterfeit I alert the authorities and check to see if they are dangerous. I also train others on how to do this.

As a PhD student I have sooo many things to do. Sometimes I find it difficult to manage everything and have enough time in the day to complete everything! It can get quite stressful sometimes.

The whole point of a PhD is to do something that nobody else has done before! So I find it quite fun to do something new that nobody has done and I really like the fact that my research may benefit someone in the future.
