      Yes you’re right, neurons are brain cells. Very interesting question!

      It was actually originally believed for 100s of years that the part of the brain that was once damaged could not be repaired. But over the recent years, scientists have shown the brain remains “plastic” throughout your life. “Plastic” means that it can change itself in response to new learning. Under certain circumstances, the brain can even create new cells through a process called neurogenesis.
