      Hi Amelia,

      Great question! The answer is no. Once a sperm has fertilised an egg, the gender of the baby is decided and that can’t be changed!

      Some people want to try to use genetic engineering to modify genes in people (not just gender) to cure diseases but there a lot of ethical issues that surround this, not to mention that there is a lot at the moment that scientists don’t know about genes!
