• Question: what are the ups and downs of being a scientist?

      Ups: lots of freedom to investigate things that interest me. Interesting people, and lots of opportunities to travel to other countries to present my work.

      Downs: You have to convince people to give you money for your salary and equipment. Not paid quite as well as other jobs.

      The ups are that you get to work on really interesting projects that will help advance a field in some way or better someones life in the future! And you learn so much!

      The downs are that it can sometimes be very stressful because there is a lot to do!
