This is interesting and I think the statement of fact that god is infinite and the universe is infinite makes it so… I think it is important to remember that in science, you can only make the best guess based on the available evidence. For example, although some very clever people could explain in great depth why they believe the universe to be infinite, it is still only the best guess available based on the evidence they have (proven by maths probably). Consider this, everyone used to think the world was flat and they made that assumption based on the evidence they had: it looked flat! so in answer to your question, can one infinite god create an infinite universe? I do not know! very difficult question this one but I hope I have been able to provide some food for thought… 🙂

Well, what do you mean by infinite? Do you mean something that has always existed or do you mean that something that is boundless, has no ends?

      Hi jamezzzzz – tough question!

I’m not sure I can say anything about the actual question, but perhaps I can say something about the universe.

We’re not currently sure if the universe is infinite or not. The problem is that we can only see a chunk of the universe which we call the observable universe. This is because the light from very distance parts of the universe has not had enough time to travel to us. Because of this we’re really in the dark about what exists outside of the observable universe!
